The Hungarian traveller group Laci HA0HW, Tamas HA4DX and Geza HA4XG, will go again to Liechtenstein from 7. Nov. to 14. Nov. 2007. QTH : Masescha JN47SD 1300 m ASL. Main focus will be the low bands operation, the group will work on all HF bands with verticals and dipoles. Rigs: FT840 , TS450SAT , IC746 and 600 Watts linear. HB0/HA4XG will work on 2 meter via Tropo and MS with IC746 and 10 el DK7ZB yagi also. Total close direction: 340 to 170 degrees ( 2000 m high mountains ), so main activity to NW and SW direction! Socorro Island DX-pedition, Revillagigedo Island, Colima, México. November 15th - December 15th 2007 - IOTA: NA-030 GRID LOCATOR: DK48ms ITU ZONE: 10 CQ ZONE: 6 - The next DXpedition to Socorro Island, Revillagigedo (XF4) will take place between November 15th and December 15th. This operation will use several calls - XF4YK, XF4YW and 6E4LM. LATEST NEWS at OPDX-Bulletin 2007-11-06: The operators will focus on 160m and 6m, where they feel XF4 is mostly needed . . .

Eckart, DJ4UF, will be back at his 2nd QTH in EA5-area (JM08BR) for the next few months. He will try to be often qrv on 144 MHz via MS and EME with 4x 7el and 600 Watt and new preamplifier. A six meter expediton is planned on June 25 - July 05 next year to the Sable Island by VE3IKV, K5AND, W3CMP, and W4TAA. The fixed 6m station in FN93 will have 800W to a 7 el beam up 40 ft and will be used for CW and SSB. A portabele 6m station in GN03 has 100W to a 5 el beam up 30 ft. Callsign and frequencies to be advertised later . . .

Janusz Slowinsk SP9YI is the skipper of "Bona Terra" , a 14 mts Sailing Yackt, which is actually on Antarctic waters up and down between King George Island (Polish Base Henryk Arctowski), Ushuaia and the Falklands. The "S/Y BONA TERRA" will sail that area until February 2008. Janusz operates as SP9YI/MM from onboard using an ICOM HF/VHF/UHF. He prefers digital modes(PSK31), but he can operate SSB and CW on 20m . . .

Lions Clubs International, the world's largest volunteer service organization, will be sponsoring an amateur radio special event station to be operated by Great Britain's Bedworth Lions Club January 1-28th. The station will operate on 2 metre FM and 80-10 metre SSB with the call sign GB4BLC. Additionally for 2008, contacts via amateur satellite are planned. QSL via G8GMU, direct or via the RSGB bureau.

EA8ARG, EA8AY and EA8BFH will be active as EG8FDA from Anaga Lighthouse on Tenerife Island (AF-004) on 10-11 November. They plan to operate on the HF bands as well as on 6 and 2 metres. QSL via EA8NQ, direct or bureau.

10 MHz (144 Mhz) Amateur Radio balloon to cross the Atlantic. Amateurs at the University of Tennessee Amateur Radio Club are launching a balloon with a beacon in the 10 MHz Amateur Band that may travel across the Atlantic during its 5-day mission. The latest Icarus X mission UX-19, will hopefully launch by next weekend and its goal is to be the first Amateur Radio equiped helium balloon to cross the Atlantic. In addition to the 30m beacon there will also be an APRS beacon AA4UT-11 on 144.390 MHz FM. 73, John - AG9D

Ronny, DL1RNW, is back at SM3 area in JP62 and qrv 2m MS - Since these morning, Ronny, DL1RNW showed up via meteorscatter from SM3 area - Locator is JP62 and youll find him on 144.370 MHz (SM3 tx first)

PW2M will be used in a DXpedition to Moela Island IOTA SA-071 between 01-08 February 2008. This call sign will be used in a dx-pedition to Moela Island (SA-071 IOTA), from Feb, 1st 2008 to Feb, 8th 2008 and the team members(alphabetical order) are so far: PY1RO - Rolf, PY2EJ - Joe, PY2OC - Luiz, PY2WAS - Alex, PY2XB - Fred, PY2ZA - Junior, with administrative support by PY2MTV - Andre, PY2XAT - Eder. QSL Manager will be AI4U for foreign operators and PY2AA for Brazilian operators. There is a lighthouse in Moela Island and such an operation was granted after a Brazilian Navy's permission. It is a rare island for IOTA. We will be working from 2m up to 160m.

Gigi, IV3GTH, will go to Banja Luka (BiH) for his family holidays. He will use the new bosnian prefix E7 for this activities. He will concentrate activities mainly during peak of Quadrantids and some EME test with big guns due to his QRP condition. As last operation in August from there condition will be FT897+ PA 150W and 9 el DK7ZB.  Gigi have had reached his QTH in Banja Luka and be qrv at KST-Chat. E7 from august is the new official ITU prefix of Bosnia but it's possible to use only with CEPT foreign licence... So now he is on and searching for MS skeds...

OC1I will be QRV from dec 27 until jan 12 from different locations in Peru. Jorge/OA4BHY, Daniel/DL5YWM, Rene/DL2JRM and Bodo/DL3OCH will be active from activate some really rare IOTAs. QSL: via QSL bureau or direct to Jeff, DL5WM Bodo, OA/DL3OCH, will be qrv that trip on 2m and 23cm EME! LATEST NEWS dated 2007-12-27  OA/DL3OCH has arrived well in Peru - first 23cm operation tonight from 0600z on 1296.090 JT65C - Sorry, 2m is still missing! No 2m operation tonight! (OA/DL3OCH FH17)

Alex, RW0ZC/MM, will be qrv again south African coast (ZS1 area) from late dec.2007 for abt. 7 month. He will be on 2m on 144.300 MHz looking for TEP in spring equinox. Also trying EME in JT65B with a 3wl antennas and hopefully a PA this time. He will also try 23cm Tropo to ZS.

OK1TEH JO70FD will be QRV 70cm MS during Quadrantids shower. Matej will have 300W on FSK441 into 23el DK7ZB. More at the 70cm MS chat and Matejs homepage (link via http://www.mmmonvhf.de/latest.php?id=1023) - Matej told that the Quadrantids maybe the best shower for 70cm tests...

DR5O JO31NF - Guy, DL8EBW, Will use the "special call" during the coming QUADRANTIDS. Look out for a CQ around 144,370 MHz with QSY to 144,350 MHz in FSK441A! Here 2x 12el 750W ATF and be qrv in the night between 3rd to 4th january!
